Initiative for Digital Inclusion (IDI) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that is focused on facilitating easy access to achieve effective use of contemporary Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) by all persons and communities including the most disadvantaged, so as to participate in and benefit from the worldwide knowledge and information society.
This will be implemented, in collaboration with all development stakeholders, through the adoption and execution of intentional strategies, projects and programmes to reduce and eliminate historical, institutional and structural barriers to digital skills, connectivity and accessibility.
IDI has a statutory Board of Trustees, a Governing Committee that is responsible for governance integrity and a management team that implements the programmes of the organization.
We systematically investigate and study trends and developments in the society in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions that will facilitate digital inclusion.
We deploy resources and efforts to influence public perception, the policy, legislative or political process on matters that relate to digital inclusion.
We develop, improve and strengthen the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources that development stakeholders need to adapt, survive and thrive in a fast-changing and digitized world.
We ensure the protection of those human and legal rights that allow individuals to access, use, create, and publish digital media or to access and use computers, other electronic devices and communications networks.
