We are pleased to announce that we have concluded arrangements to roll-out our Small-scale ISPs Operations Masterclass, a training programme for executives and managers of small-scale Internet Service Providers and Last Mile Connectivity Operators in unserved and underserved areas. This is one of the Deliverables under the Capacity-Building and Testing Business Models for Sustainable Last-Mile Connectivity in Nigeria Project that IDI has been commissioned to execute by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom Government under its Digital Access Programme. The Masterclasses which are scheduled to be delivered online and onsite – Abuja, Kano, Gombe, Lagos, Port-Harcourt and Owerri – spanning the six geo-political zones of the country – will cover the following needs areas that were identified by stakeholders in administered questionnaires and reaffirmed in a focus group meeting:
The Masterclasses which is non-fee paying will be delivered by highly experienced industry practitioners will afford the attendees an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and insights that will enhance the resilience and sustainability of their enterprises and also to network and share experiences with sectoral colleagues.
The overarching aim of the Masterclasses is to equip the attendees with the skills to effectively deliver services in unserved and underserved communities in Nigeria for the attainment of the targets of the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy, 2019 as well as the National Broadband Plan 2020-2025.
